A Cinema Camera in Your Pocket
This tutorial will help you push the creative boundaries your iPhone as you learn about stabilizers, gimbals, lenses, lighting accessories and audio gear that will help take your iPhone shooting to the next level.
A Perfect Analysis
The Filmic Pro App is a well-established tool for serious iPhone filmmakers. In this tutorial we’ll show you how it can turn your iPhone into a pro video camera that rivals features found on more expensive cameras and DSLRs. For example, you’ll learn how to use Filmic Pros analytics to evaluate and adjust exposure, focus and color balance.
Now Hear This
Audio should never be an afterthought. In fact, it’s the one area of iPhone production that if you take the time to get right, will separate your videos from everyone else’s. We show you what microphones and hardware add-ons are necessary for achieving a professionally recorded voice track.
Protect the Highlights & Shadows
Getting proper exposure is often a set of compromises. Either you sacrifice detail in the shadows, or in the highlights. With Filmic Pros LOG setting, you can record a flat image that preserves the detail in both tonal regions so that later in post, you can apply a LUT to maximize contrast and saturation.

Good tutorial for getting the best out of your iPhone, very comprehensive.
As always the Ripple video’s are well presented and well paced.
Recently revisited this tutorial, it’s still a good one, but obviously, it’s getting outdated.
The iPhone 6s is ancient history by now and Filmic had had it’s fair share of update’s.
Some accessories aren’t available anymore and there’s heaps of new stuff.
So a 2021 update would be appreciated. HDR video, Apple ProRAW, multi cam (DoubleTake) recording etc. (I’d pay for an update)

Mark Spencer and Steve Martin did it again! This is another home run. They really deep dive into the capabilities of and power of the iPhone and how it can be used as a video production tool. And this has really pushed me to upgrade my device (it’s about time I get something that can do 4K).
I’ve already invested in some of the tools recommended in this training. And I’m looking forward to implementing these newly learned techniques.
Thanks again for all you do…
In Best Regards,
Rodney

This tutorial help me a lot. Nice to see all the stuff you can buy/use to make better films. The tutorial is easy to understand? Mark explains the concepts very well. I bought the previous tutorial and did the update. Mark explains filmic, syncing dual-system audio and 4k very well.
Thanks

Overall the training Ripple provides is very good. I’ve bought numerous packages from FCPx,Logic Pro, Motion and now this iPhone prod/post package. Overall pleased with everything I’ve bought.

This couldn’t have come at a better time. Thank you some much Ripple Training Team on putting this together. My wife and I just had a meeting with a client yesterday and since my iPhone 6 Plus is how I shoot all of my videos, this is perfect. And on top of that, I was in the process of getting the FIlmic Pro app as well. This training is nothing but pure value. Thank you again for all that you do.
