Switch Like a Pro
In this groundbreaking tutorial, our in-house technical director Travis Richmond, will walk you through the finer points of using Blackmagic Design’s popular ATEM Mini Switcher, including how to manage and switch multiple inputs, control camera exposure, add graphics, create animated keys, mix audio and so much more!
Create Flying Keys
You’ll learn how to leverage the built-in Chroma Keyer using various controls for dialing in the key color, adjusting the edge detail and removing unwanted color fringing. When combined with the switcher’s mask functionality, you’ll be able remove unwanted elements from the frame, and even bring in your keys with professional Digital Video Effects (DVEs).
Control Your Sound Mix
Using the Audio Page, Travis will show you how to control the signal routing of various audio sources and the best ways to mix them together. Once the channels are configured, you’ll learn how to set your audio input gain, and work with the built-in equalizer in order to isolate and reduce distracting sounds from your mix.
Automate Your Broadcast
As they say, time is money, and you’ll learn how to automate common switcher functions with macros that can execute several functions at once, and can even be linked together for hand’s free switcher operation – a feature that is especially useful if you are both the on-air talent and the operator.

Very good, very understandable, and almost up-to-date tutorial. Travis does a great job here. But when will you update this to include the functions of the “ISO” model?
Jill Martin –
Steve and Travis just ordered the ISO model from Blackmagic. They will be adding a new lesson soon for free!

Very organized and thorough. After a weekend of watching Travis and working with my new ATEM Pro, I feel quite comfortable and starting to build my level of expertise.

I know you are probably busy with it already, but please can you include the ATEM Pro version – maybe an add on?
Jill Martin –
Hello Paul. We are working on a few additional lessons on the ATEM Pro. The lessons will be added to the tutorial for free.
Stay tuned!

It was through Ripple training that I first heard about this mini pro switcher and now that I have one, I’m coming immediately back to Ripple training to get Travis’ deep dive into its functionality. Something that can’t be found on YouTube! Thanks to Travis, Steve, and Mark for bringing us such fine training within days of this products release.
