Create Color Grading Effects
You’ll begin with learning how the Magnetic Mask can be combined with Final Cut Pro’s other masking tools to create highly targeted color grading effects, including making precise selections even with challenging shots that contain similar hues.
Create Special Effects
Masks are great for special effects, and in this tutorial, Mark will show you the most useful built-in effects to combine with masks. Plus, you’ll learn how to use the included RT Mask FX plugin to create unique effects that can be customized and combined to create the look you want.
Create Text Effects
Some of the most interesting visuals you can create involve combining 2D or 3D text with masks. You’ll learn how to reveal text; obscure text, and break a subject through text using static and/or tracked titles. You’ll also learn how to combine tracked text with multiple Magic Mask selections.
Create Cloning Effects
In the final section of the tutorial, you’ll put our RT Mask FX plugin to use to create a variety of exciting clone effects you can apply to your masked footage.
