I’ve been a professional editor for 20+ years, the majority of those on Avid’s Media Composer. It’s still my primary edit system, but I’m about to start on a FCP X project and needed to learn the software. I’m used to just messing around with a new edit program and figuring it out, but I quickly realized FCP was different enough in so many ways that I needed some help. A friend recommended the Ripple Training tutorial and I have to say, I’m deeply impressed. It’s been a great walkthrough for an experienced editor like myself. The tutorial has paid for itself in saved frustration.

Your tutorials have put me light years ahead of where I would have been on my own using just the manual. Every sentence shows evidence of careful study for thorough content and clear, understandable language. Even though there are forty-two lessons, there’s no fluff—it’s all solid learning material.
Adding the download feature was great for me since we don’t have very fast internet in our area. If I didn’t grasp something, I stopped, rewound and repeatedly played that portion back until the clouds lifted. I am so glad you decided to make these valuable, no-nonsense tutorials.
