You won´t need this if you did the “Advanced Color Grading in DaVinci Resolve”-Course. I expected that this tutorial would explain specific problems, instead it gives you a little bit of everything. I would recommend the Advanced Color Grading Tutorial, because its much more detailed and you can follow the steps much better. Also I found the Project in Resolve very confusing since there all the steps are already done and some of them didn`t even match the video I watched.

I learned a lot from this very interesting tutorial (even having Resolve 17 out now) that will help me to make things look better. You not only learn how to solve common problems and how to repair images, the tutorial covers a lot more: you learn about basic workflows, get some fundamental information about color management in Davinci Resolve, it shows you how to create some popular looks, … It’s great to see how a professional colorist approaches all these topics. Even though I have had some experience with Resolve, these tutorials were no doubt an eye opener to me in the areas of Noise Reduction. The tutorials are not way to lenghty and were to the point. Even though these tutorials have given me enough to chew on, I wished that there was more covered so I could learn much more.
I am sure I will keep returning to these tutorials as I work on my projects to sharpen my skills.

I learned so much from this tutorial, and I appreciated the fact that the instructor is a professional fulltime colorist. The segment on noise reduction was particularly eye-opening. I did notice some discrepancies between some approaches in this tutorial and approaches recommended in the Advanced Color Grading in Resolve 15 tutorial (e.g., where to put noise reduction in the node tree), but that’s to be expected as there’s no one right way to do any of this. I also learned a lot about Resolve’s “Revival” plugins for working with archival footage. I’ll be returning to this tutorial over and over in my work.
