Reorient Your World
Because 360 videos are projected onto a sphere, you have complete control over where your viewer is looking. We’ll show you when and how
to use Final Cut Pro X’s Reorient tool to shift perspective and address common alignment issues with the horizon.
Enhance Your 360 Environments
While looking around a 360 environment is engaging in and of itself, you can enhance your viewer’s experience by using the 360 Transform effect to place flat content such as logos, photos, or even b-roll footage shot with your iPhone or other camera into the sphere.
Hide Unwanted Objects
The nature of 360 video cameras is that by definition, they record in every direction. You’ll learn how to use Final Cut Pro X’s Patch Effect to remove unwanted objects; particularly camera rigs that appear at the bottom of the sphere.
Create 360 Effects with Motion
Apple’s Motion has a host of new 360 editing tools that work hand-in-hand with Final Cut Pro X. We’ll show you how to create a cool 3D 360 particle effect then publish it as a Final Cut Pro generator that can be applied to any 360 clip.

Great product as usual. I used my own material for this tutorial and the instructions allowed me to produce a great end product. Ripple training is always my first choice for FCP X or Motion tutorials.

The Ripple Training crew has delivered a great way to learn these complex tools in a manner that is relaxing, informative and accessible. The training is straight forward, and I love that fact that it’s there for reference if I need to go back to brush up. Great Job team! Thanks for helping me boost my knowledge and marketability.

These tutorials really helped. I spent this last Sunday morning watching them and making notes. After lunch went to the beach to record a few files. Later, at home, I edited the files and uploaded to youtube. I’ve never thought I could do this. I hope there will be a tutorial about spacial sound. My camera records it, but I’d like to learn how to insert sounds in this 360 videos. I know facebook and Waves have plugins. Maybe you could help us learn them. Thank you.
FROM STEVE: Thank you Cesar! Happy you are having success with the 360 workflow. As for spatial sound, as I pointed out in our tutorial, FCPX does not support it. If we did a tutorial in the future, it would be on this software from Dysonics, called Rondo360. https://dysonics.com/rondo360/

I have been waiting all year for Apple to release 360 tools in FCPX and these tutorials have brought me up to speed on the new features very quickly. Steve has broken down the entire process into an easy to follow and understand process… and I’m already producing compelling content with the new tools. I highly recommend these to anyone interested in taking advantage of the (very comprehensive) 360 tools in FCPX 10.4.

Having worked with 360 for a few months now, this helped me dive right into the new 360 features of the FCP update. Thorough and methodical.
